Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join a healthcare facility in Fayetteville, North Carolina. In this role, you will play a key part in managing billing processes and ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with medical billing standards. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process and submit medical claims to insurance providers accurately and efficiently.

• Review and verify patient information and billing data to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

• Resolve billing discrepancies and follow up on unpaid claims to ensure timely reimbursement.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify billing-related issues and obtain necessary documentation.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing codes and insurance policies to ensure proper claim submission.

• Generate and analyze billing reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.

• Provide support in updating and maintaining billing records within the system.

• Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries and payment options.

• Assist in implementing best practices to streamline billing procedures and improve accuracy.

Requirements • Proven experience in medical billing or a related field.

• Comprehensive understanding of medical billing codes and insurance processes.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of data.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.

• Proficiency in relevant medical billing software and tools.

• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

• Problem-solving skills to address billing discrepancies and resolve issues.

• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
