Description We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Gardena, California. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an opportunity to contribute to various accounting functions, including general ledger management, month-end closing, and inventory accounting. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in QuickBooks and a solid foundation in accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post accurate journal entries to maintain the integrity of financial records.

• Oversee general ledger functions and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify and align financial transactions.

• Participate in month-end closing activities, including account analysis and adjustments.

• Manage inventory accounting processes and ensure proper tracking and reporting.

• Supervise up to three accounting staff members, providing guidance and support.

• Utilize QuickBooks to perform daily accounting tasks and maintain records.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting-related inquiries.

• Assist with audits and ensure proper documentation of financial data. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

• 2–4 years of accounting experience with attention to detail.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and general ledger functions.

• Strong understanding of journal entries and bank reconciliations.

• Experience with inventory accounting processes.

• Effective communication and organizational skills.

• Familiarity with Fishbowl inventory software is a plus.

• Ability to lead and mentor less experienced accounting staff.
