    Description

    We are looking for a Service Coordinator to join our team in Kearny Mesa/ San Diego, California. This role focuses on ensuring seamless communication between customers and field service technicians while coordinating schedules, materials, and documentation. As a Contract to permanent position, this opportunity allows you to grow within the construction and contractor industry, contributing to essential fire protection and life safety services.

    Responsibilities:

    • Schedule service technicians for jobs and maintain clear communication with both customers and technicians regarding timelines.

    • Coordinate procurement and delivery of equipment and materials needed for various projects.

    • Monitor and document service activities to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

    • Address customer concerns promptly and work towards resolving issues effectively.

    • Assist with job costing by tracking technician hours and materials used for each project.

    • Prepare accurate job records for invoicing and ensure documentation is submitted to relevant authorities.

    • Recommend equipment updates or purchases based on client needs and industry advancements.

    • Optimize technician routes to improve efficiency, reduce travel time, and minimize costs.

    • Support the Service Manager with job quotes and scheduling adjustments as necessary.

    • Ensure recurring services are scheduled appropriately to maintain code compliance.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience in administrative coordination or a similar role, preferably within the construction or contractor industry.

    • Strong proficiency in scheduling, calendar management, and project coordination.

    • Excellent communication skills for answering inbound calls and liaising with clients and technicians.

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    • Familiarity with documentation processes and software platforms for tracking job details.

    • Experience in high volume calls and fast turnaround times.

    • Detail-oriented with the ability to ensure accuracy in job costing and compliance requirements.

    • Problem-solving skills to address customer concerns and adapt to changing project needs.
