Description We are looking for a dedicated Billing Clerk to join our team in New York, New York. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth and accurate billing operations for our organization. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, has experience with Sage accounting software, and possesses a strong understanding of billing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage routine billing tasks to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.

• Generate and distribute billing statements to clients or departments as required.

• Monitor and manage billing collections to ensure payments are received on schedule.

• Maintain and update billing systems with current and accurate information.

• Utilize Sage accounting software to support billing operations.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to billing processes.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with organizational billing policies.

• Prepare and analyze billing reports to assist in financial planning and audits.

• Communicate with clients or stakeholders regarding billing inquiries and concerns. Requirements • Proven experience in a billing role, preferably within a nonprofit or similar organization.

• Proficiency in Sage accounting software is required.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data.

• Solid understanding of billing systems and processes.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.

• Ability to identify and resolve billing discrepancies independently.

• Familiarity with generating financial reports and summaries.
