Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Sarasota, Florida. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills to oversee financial processes and ensure accuracy in reporting. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting and a proven ability to handle complex financial tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

• Oversee the general ledger, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

• Prepare and post journal entries to support financial reporting processes.

• Conduct account reconciliations to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

• Handle bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.

• Assist with financial reporting, providing insights and analysis as needed.

• Monitor compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

• Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports. Requirements

• 5 + years of accounting experience with a focus on detail-oriented work.

• Proficiency in month-end close procedures and general ledger management.

• Strong knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliation.

• Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting.

• Experience in construction industry

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
