Description
We are looking for a skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our healthcare team in Fayetteville, North Carolina. This is a long-term contract opportunity, ideal for professionals who excel in managing billing processes and ensuring accuracy in financial documentation. The role plays a vital part in supporting the facility's operations and maintaining compliance with healthcare billing standards.
Responsibilities:
• Process and submit accurate medical claims to insurance providers in a timely manner.
• Verify patient billing information and ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines.
• Investigate and resolve claim discrepancies or denials to ensure proper reimbursement.
• Maintain detailed records of billing activities and payment statuses.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to gather necessary documentation for billing purposes.
• Handle patient inquiries regarding billing issues and provide clear explanations.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations and policies.
• Analyze billing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Support internal teams with necessary billing reports and documentation.
Requirements • Proven experience in medical billing, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes and healthcare billing regulations.
• Proficiency in medical billing software and systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze and resolve billing discrepancies efficiently.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare staff.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
