    Description

    We are looking for a dedicated Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in outside of Short Pump, Virginia. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a vital role in supporting procurement operations and inventory management. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless material availability, maintain accurate inventory records, and collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.

    Responsibilities:

    • Facilitate procurement activities for production, office supplies, aftermarket needs, and indirect materials.

    • Generate purchase orders based on inventory requirements, past usage trends, and established guidelines.

    • Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment to uphold safety stock standards.

    • Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory data in company systems while resolving discrepancies as needed.

    • Update and manage Excel-based records related to inventory, usage, and procurement.

    • Communicate with vendors to verify order statuses, track deliveries, and address any issues or discrepancies.

    • Assist in sourcing initiatives by collecting vendor quotes and managing supplier information.

    • Support supplier documentation processes and ensure timely follow-ups.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, accounting, sales, and customer service, to streamline operations.

    • Adhere to established procurement policies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

     

    Requirements • 1–3 years of experience in purchasing or inventory management.

     

    • Proficiency in Excel, with intermediate or advanced skills.

    • Familiarity with NetSuite or similar purchasing systems is preferred.

    • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.

    • Capable of following processes and managing multiple tasks efficiently.

    • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with vendors and internal teams.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
