Job Title: Information Systems Security ManagerJob Description
The Information Systems Security Manager is the principal information assurance professional responsible for maintaining the security posture of an accredited DoD system. This role provides guidance to ISSOs, Information Technology team members, and the system owner to minimize organizational risk and ensure system compliance with DoD RMF controls.
Responsibilities
+ Compose, distribute, and execute local policies and procedures, including vulnerability management, POA&M management, personnel onboarding and offboarding, and incident response.
+ Provide advisory to management regarding changes impacting the security posture of the system.
+ Prepare and submit system security plans to accrediting organizations.
+ Act as the primary external point of contact for the lab network and its accreditation, preparing and submitting necessary documentation to stakeholders.
+ Manage one ISSO and one network administrator, inheriting and modifying current policies in compliance with RMF.
+ Distribute policies to internal auditors (IA) and IT members.
Essential Skills
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Strong familiarity with NIST publications.
+ Understanding of common operating systems, network technologies, risk management frameworks, and security tools.
+ Certification required for IAM level II or III appointment, such as CAP, CASP+ CE, CISM, CISSP, CCISO, or HCISPP.
+ Experience managing the accreditation life cycle.
+ Experience creating or modifying policies in compliance with DoD Risk Management Framework.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ A BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science is preferred.
+ Candidates local to the metro Detroit area are preferred, but this is not a requirement.
+ U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
Work Environment
This position offers flexibility with remote or hybrid on-site work options. The role focuses on one specific lab network, providing a great work/life balance and exposure to high-visibility projects. You will work closely with stakeholders to define, modify, and manage Information Systems specific to the DoD risk management framework, serving as the primary point of contact for the network.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sterling Heights, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $76.92/hr.
