Description
Position Summary:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing a wide range of inspections to support all phases of assembly and manufacturing, including subcontracted and purchased parts. This role ensures compliance with quality standards and workmanship criteria throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspections on assemblies, components, and materials across all manufacturing phases.
Interpret and apply blueprint readings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
Utilize basic measuring equipment and instruments to verify dimensions and perform continuity checks.
Maintain proficiency in personal computing for documentation and reporting purposes.
Ensure adherence to workmanship acceptance criteria on the production floor.
Accurately document errors, discrepancies, and inspection results in a neat and legible manner.
Follow established procedures and safety precautions to prevent damage to equipment, materials, and injury to personnel.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work/inspection area.
Complete all required paperwork and documentation associated with inspection activities.
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge of blueprint interpretation and wiring diagrams.
Strong understanding of inspection techniques and quality standards.
Ability to use measuring instruments and tools for continuity checks.
Basic computer literacy for data entry and reporting.
Familiarity with production floor workmanship acceptance criteria.
Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in a manufacturing environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Chelmsford, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
