    We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to perform calculations for the design and analysis of crane supporting structures, as well as related components and buildings, with a focus on steel and concrete design. The role involves ensuring conformity to all applicable design specifications and maintaining detailed project records. The successful candidate will coordinate with the sales team to propose work, manage projects from inception to completion, and direct subcontractors and technicians to achieve project goals. Additionally, the role includes planning and preparing material orders and deliveries while maintaining project deadlines and budgets to meet customer demands.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform design and analysis calculations for crane supporting structures and related components.

    + Ensure all designs conform to applicable specifications and maintain detailed records.

    + Coordinate with the sales team to propose and plan work.

    + Manage projects from start to finish, including directing and supervising subcontractors and technicians.

    + Plan and prepare material orders and ensure timely delivery.

    + Maintain project deadlines and budgets according to customer demands.

    + Collect and interpret data accurately.

    + Adhere to safety policies, including OSHA standards.

    + Prepare documentation such as invoicing and project closeout reports.

    + Manage multiple projects simultaneously and react promptly to solve issues under stress.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.

    + 1-2+ years of experience in engineering and project management.

    + Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis).

    + Proficiency in AutoCAD and structural design tools.

    + Strong understanding of steel and concrete structures.

    + Excellent critical thinking and decision-making abilities.

    + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

    + Excellent communication and customer service skills.

    + Ability to work both in an office environment and in the field.

    + Safety-conscious mindset.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in drafting and structural steel design.

    + Ability to work in various weather conditions.

    + Ability to travel as required.

    Work Environment

    This position primarily involves office work with approximately 10% travel to job sites. The team consists of four project managers, and the dress code is casual. The role includes vacation and holiday benefits, with a salaried compensation structure that includes overtime.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reading, PA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
