    Job Title: Environmental Compliance Project ManagerJob Description

     

    Join our dynamic Cloud Infrastructure Construction Environmental Compliance team, where you will be pivotal in managing environmental permit compliance for the construction of data centers. As the Construction Environmental Compliance Lead, you will ensure that all federal, state, and local regulations and permit requirements are met during construction, working closely with internal and external partners. This role is based in Charlotte, NC and involves onsite inspections and field support.

    Responsibilities

    + Coordinate with subject-matter experts to meet compliance obligations and Environmental Requirements according to the construction schedule.

    + Work with Permit Managers to understand and implement permit conditions, ensuring Construction teams comply with all environmental approvals.

    + Manage environmental and construction consultants for site delivery, including conducting site inspections and preparing reports.

    + Identify and mitigate construction-related issues such as stormwater, wetlands, streams, and air compliance.

    + Engage with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and community groups for new builds.

    + Develop environmental risk and compliance strategies to support datacenter construction and operations.

    + Oversee environmental compliance planning and execution from pre-construction to operational turnover.

    + Communicate environmental requirements and expertise to diverse stakeholders.

    + Maintain and report project status regularly, contributing to an Environmental Excellence program.

    Essential Skills

    + 5-7 years of experience in environmental permitting or compliance in America, including managing environmental impact assessments and acquiring permits.

    + 5+ years of program and project management experience in America, including permit timeline development and leading consultant teams.

    + Experience with mission-critical facilities or large-scale construction projects.

    + Strong knowledge in environmental regulations related to the Clean Water Act sections 402, 401, and 404.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + ESC Inspectors certification.

    Work Environment

    This position is based at multiple sites in North Carolina, including Conover, Maiden, and Newton in Catawba County. The role requires a 40-hour workweek and involves ground-up project work. The work environment includes regular collaboration with internal and external teams, requiring both onsite and offsite responsibilities.

    This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $71.00 - $81.00/hr.
