Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist - 2nd Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist for the 2nd shift to perform full set-ups in a dynamic job shop environment. The successful candidate will troubleshoot machines, read complex prints, and set machines up to hold extremely tight tolerances of +/- 0.0002 on a variety of materials, including stainless steel, aluminum, Inconel, titanium, and brass. Experience with live tooling is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

+ Perform full set-ups on CNC lathes, including dual spindle twin turrets.

+ Troubleshoot and edit machine programs at the machine.

+ Read and interpret complex blueprints and operational layouts.

+ Set up machines to hold tolerances of +/- 0.0002.

+ Work with a variety of materials including exotic metals.

+ Perform an average of one setup per shift, with variations based on job complexity.

+ Manage production runs ranging from 100 to 5,000 parts.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of CNC lathe set-up experience.

+ 2+ years of machining experience in a medical or aerospace environment.

+ Ability to work with parts as small as a fingernail.

+ Experience with Puma, Daewoo, and multi-axis machines.

+ Proficiency in reading and understanding CNC programs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Live-tooling or multi-axis experience preferred.

+ Knowledge of tooling applications for exotic metals.

+ Ability to understand tooling requirements for machine set-up and operation.

This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $83200.00/yr.

- Climate Controlled and super clean

- Guaranteed 3% company contribution to 401k (not a match. For example, if you put in 6% they put 3% and if you put 0% they put 3%)

- 2 weeks PTO right away plus the Minnesota sick pay on top of that

- Average tenure is 10+ years

- Life Insurance

- Sometimes will have a bonus at the end of the year depending on company performance/profits
