    Job Title: Level A Maintenance Lead** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking a skilled Level A Maintenance Lead to oversee the maintenance of garbage trucks operating throughout the Central Kentucky area. This role involves a wide range of service tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake adjustments, and mechanical repairs on garbage truck equipment. Additionally, the successful candidate will manage work orders and schedule regular preventive maintenance for the fleet.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform oil changes and tire rotations on garbage trucks.

    + Conduct brake adjustments and mechanical repairs on truck equipment.

    + Schedule and manage preventive maintenance for the truck fleet.

    + Complete and oversee work orders efficiently.

    + Coordinate with the team to ensure all maintenance tasks are completed on time.

    Essential Skills

    + 2-5 years of experience in diesel/heavy equipment maintenance.

    + Strong mechanical skills, particularly in auto repair.

    + Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems.

    + Proficiency with hydraulic systems.

    + Technical college education or diesel mechanic certification is preferred.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Willingness to learn and work specifically with garbage trucks.

    + Experience in a 5S environment is beneficial.

    Work Environment

    The work environment adheres to 5S principles, ensuring clean bays. However, since garbage trucks pick up waste, they may occasionally be smelly and dirty. Both positions are available at the Lexington location.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Frankfort, KY.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $32.00/hr.
