Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and manage data pipelines and systems. You will help clients leverage large datasets to gain insights and improve decision-making.

This position is performed at the client site in Arlington, VA or Washington, DC; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable at the client's discretion."

Your future duties and responsibilities:

- Design and implement data pipelines to support business analytics.

- Work with data architects to define and maintain data models.

- Optimize and tune data workflows for performance and scalability.

- Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and solutions.

- Azure experience is preferred including Databricks and PowerBI

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- 0–4 years of experience in data engineering or data management.

- 1-2 years experience with PowerBI surrounding capacities, deployment pipelines, and direct query vs dataflows

- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) for data engineering. Preferably Azure.

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

- Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).

- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $58,000.00 - $136,200.00.
