Job Description

The Laser Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining laser machinery used for cutting, drilling, and engraving a variety of materials within the manufacturing industry. This role involves working with sheet metal and requires a high level of precision and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

+ Operate laser machinery to cut, drill, and engrave materials according to specifications.

+ Maintain and calibrate laser equipment to ensure optimal performance.

+ Read and interpret blueprints to execute precise machining tasks.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the laser machinery.

+ Perform quality assurance and inspection of finished products to meet industry standards.

+ Set up and adjust machines for production runs.

+ Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production processes.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with laser operation and machine setup.

+ Proficiency in blueprint reading and fabrication.

+ Strong troubleshooting skills with laser machinery.

+ Ability to discern and work with different materials such as Carbon Hot Rolled Steel, Cold Rolled Steel, Aluminum, and Stainless Steels.

+ Familiarity with micrometers and other measuring tools.

+ Experience in quality assurance and inspection.

This is a Contract position based out of Sparks, NV.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
