    Job Title: Forklift Operator** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to manage internal material movements, load and unload trailers, and ensure efficient inventory management. This role involves operating a forklift, material scanner, and other machinery to support the logistics and warehouse operations.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate a forklift for internal material movements and finished goods if needed.

    + Load trailers for outbound shipments and unload trailers, delivering materials to their proper supermarket or point of use (POU).

    + Count raw materials and process returns to maintain accurate inventory records and adjust in SAP according to findings.

    + Dispatch trailers as needed to prevent line downtime.

    + Identify and process scrap or RTV product as needed, and communicate with quality to remedy issues.

    + Meet with internal customers regularly to determine current and future needs.

    + Maintain acceptable performance standards for safety, quality, delivery, and general housekeeping.

    + Operate a material scanner to make movements in the inventory management system.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Forklift operation and material handling experience.

    + High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.

    + 2 or more years of experience operating comparable machinery including forklift, scissor lift, and semi-truck.

    + Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

    + Ability to pass internal PIT course for forklift certification and maintain certification.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with inventory management systems, particularly SAP.

    Work Environment

    The work environment is a well-lit, climate-controlled warehouse. Overtime is optional, and there are voluntary Saturday morning shifts available.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cartersville, GA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
