    Job Description

    The Clinical Research Coordinator II RN (CRC-II RN) serves under limited supervision to plan, coordinate, evaluate, and perform the nursing care of participants while collecting data for assigned research projects. This role involves following study-specific protocol guidelines and communicating with Principal Investigators, Sub-Investigators, Clinical Research Lead, and clinical research support staff. The CRC-II RN is responsible for advocating for patients and ensuring adherence to clinical trial protocols, FDA regulations, and ICH/GCP guidelines.

    Responsibilities

    + Deliver safe care with respect for the dignity of all participants.

    + Maintain clinical competencies such as physical assessment, phlebotomy, and IV insertion.

    + Practice Universal Precautions and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

    + Maintain a clean and prepared clinical space, performing set-up and turnover procedures as needed.

    + Participate in training programs to maintain licensure.

    + Utilize effective interpersonal communication skills with healthcare team members, patients, investigators, and sponsors.

    + Review informed consent documents with study candidates, ensuring participant rights and safety.

    + Manage multiple clinical trial protocols and ensure accurate documentation.

    + Handle records, study medication, and test articles confidentially and securely.

    + Advise the Principal Investigator and relevant staff of any trial deviations or safety issues.

    + Coordinate support staff and laboratory technicians to ensure adherence to protocols.

    Essential Skills

    + Clinical research expertise, particularly in oncology.

    + Proficiency in clinical trial processes, chart review, and patient pre-screening.

    + Data management skills and experience with electronic data capture (EDC).

    + Minimum of 2 years of clinical research experience.

    + Current, active State of FL license as a Registered Nurse.

    + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Ability to perform clinical tasks and assist with minor procedures within scope of practice.

    + Ability to adapt to various clinical settings as required by protocols.

    + Demonstrated skills in IV insertion, physical assessment, phlebotomy, and drug administration.

    + Associate degree in Nursing.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The position is based in a hospital setting, where the clinical research nurse will work closely with medical and research staff to ensure the successful execution of clinical trials.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $98000.00/yr.
