Job Title: Clinical PharmacistJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Clinical Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, providing patient counseling, and collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

+ Dispense medications accurately and efficiently according to prescription orders.

+ Provide medication counseling and education to patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and interactions.

+ Review and interpret physician orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of therapy.

+ Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, interactions, and therapeutic duplications.

+ Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and promote medication adherence.

+ Maintain accurate patient records, including medication histories, allergies, and interventions.

+ Comply with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.

+ Ensure proper storage and handling of medications, including monitoring for expired or damaged products.

+ Participate in pharmacy quality assurance programs and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

+ Assist with inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and managing pharmaceutical supplies.

+ Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and promoting pharmacy services.

+ Stay current with developments in pharmacy practice and participate in ongoing professional development activities.

+ Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ PharmD degree.

+ Proven experience in pharmacy practice.

+ Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in mail order pharmacy is a plus.

Work Environment

The position is based in a mail order pharmacy with a Monday to Friday day shift from 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional overtime. The team consists of 3 pharmacists and 22 technicians. The pharmacy is expanding by the end of January, offering an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing company. The work environment is supportive, with executive leadership actively involved and fostering a personable atmosphere. Benefits include being off on major holidays and weekends.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $67.00 - $69.00/hr.
