    Job Title: PLC Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a PLC Technician who will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our equipment. The successful candidate will have the possibility of being 'on call' during off hours to address emergency equipment breakdowns and perform routine repair work and preventative maintenance tasks. This role is vital in ensuring our operations meet production timelines by maintaining equipment in optimal condition and responding promptly to emergencies.

    Responsibilities

    + Resolve emergency equipment breakdowns and perform routine repair work.

    + Conduct scheduled equipment servicing, lubrication, and inspections.

    + Complete GMP documentation and engage in PLC programming and troubleshooting.

    + Assist operations in achieving production timelines by ensuring equipment functionality.

    + Collaborate with other departmental teams to drive process improvements and identify new opportunities.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in GMP, and FDA compliance.

    + Experience in preventive maintenance and continuous improvement.

    + Skilled in PLC troubleshooting and programming.

    + Strong knowledge of electrical engineering and reliability engineering.

    + Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Background in industrial manufacturing.

    + Experience in manufacturing engineering and pharmaceutical processes.

    Work Environment

    The plant houses approximately 150 employees, with a team size of 10-15. The role involves close collaboration with maintenance mechanics. Standard day shifts apply, but flexibility is required to support night and weekend shifts as needed. Shift patterns may evolve as the plant expands. This position offers significant growth opportunities, including the ability to lead teams and initiatives throughout the plant.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $50.00/hr.
