Job Description
As a General Production Worker, you will operate industrial sewing machines to manufacture medical device parts. You will receive training on industrial sewing machines in a one-week class, followed by mentorship on the production floor. Your tasks include setting up the sewing machine with the correct thread, increasing production count to the expected output level within 13 weeks, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and ensuring products meet quality standards. You will be seated for extended periods while operating the sewing machine, and assistance is available if issues arise.
Responsibilities

Work Environment
Join a diverse workforce at a contract manufacturing medical device company experiencing 30% growth. Our production floor is 75% industrial sewing machines, operating in a clean GMP environment. Hair and beard nets are required, and the facility is not climate-controlled, which can make it hot during summer months. Fans are provided for cooling. We accommodate multiple languages and offer shifts from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with the option to work extended hours and Saturdays voluntarily once production rates are met.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Charles, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
