Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description

Join our team as a Machine Operator where you will play a vital role in the production of high-quality food products in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Your primary responsibility will be to operate and maintain production machinery, ensuring efficiency and safety standards are met. This role involves working with mixing machines and the initial stages of tortilla production, requiring attention to detail and adherence to hygiene protocols.

Responsibilities

+ Operate production machinery, ensuring it runs efficiently and safely.

+ Lift up to 50lbs of formula consistently throughout the day.

+ Weigh ingredients and pour them into large mixing bowls.

+ Document ingredients used and adjust oven temperatures and mesh belt speed using the ERP/HMI system.

+ Perform equipment set-ups, start-ups, and adjustments to meet product specifications.

+ Maintain accurate records in the ERP system and complete production paperwork.

+ Identify and report any equipment issues to the maintenance team.

+ Participate actively in food safety and defense activities.

+ Assist with equipment cleaning and ensure proper reassembly.

+ Keep the work area clean and orderly.

Essential Skills

+ 1-2 years’ experience operating production machinery.

+ Experience in food production, particularly in a bakery setting, is preferred.

+ Basic computer skills for data entry into the ERP system.

+ Ability to lift between 30-55lbs consistently.

+ Ability to work in a hot environment, reaching up to 100 degrees.

+ Comfortable working at a fast pace and standing for up to 8 hours a day.

+ Basic English or Spanish language skills, both written and verbal.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in food manufacturing and machine operation.

+ Commitment to attendance and career advancement.

+ Blending and general production experience.

Work Environment

The position is set in a food production environment where temperatures can rise up to 100 degrees. You will work around ovens and with ingredients like flour, which may release gluten particles into the air. A full gown, hair net, and beard net (if applicable) are required, along with hearing protection, all provided by the company. Expect to be on your feet for the majority of your shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eagan, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr.
