Description
Responsibilities:
The Downstream Tech is "Leading the Process" so he isn't alone in the troubleshooting (has scientists, maintenance, and engineers to help) but the experience in the follow processes and description means the candidate has knowledge of the "why" in the process and can best represent the Operations side of things.
Executes the operation with team serving as process leader, coach, trainer, and responsible party
Performs and verifies process setup, troubleshooting, change over, process intervention.
- Does not perform machine maintenance but, must be able to setup, break down, and troubleshoot any issues during the production process
Operations representative for cross-functional process support team, engaging in process
Real-time problem solving, process intervention, and technical experiment delivery
Ensures process documentation is prepared and completed with accuracy and concurrence
Record revisions for Standard Manufacturing Practices and batch making

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Minimum High School Diploma
Ideally downstream experience
- Chromatography: lab technique that separates complex mixtures into individual components; Filtration, and Concentration experience for pharmaceutical production
If lack of that, then would be open to Cell Growth Experience
Degree is nice but not needed, biggest thing is knowledge of the processes above

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
