Role Overview:
As the Case Plan Credit Time Analyst, you will be responsible for the review and processing of all submitted Case Plan Credit Time referrals from assigned facilities. This position will also act as one of three Case Plan Board members assigned to form an unbiased determination of approval or denial for Case Plan Credit Time on possible fraudulent submissions.
Salary Statement:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $47,320.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
A Day in the Life:
The essential functions of this role are as follows:
+ Responsible for monitoring the "Case Plan Credit" queue daily for new submissions of offenders to be reviewed and to ensure that each offender's file contains all pertinent documentation for the Case Plan Review Panel.
+ Ensure that each offender submission has a signed opt-in form for the Case Plan Credit Time.
+ Responsible for reviewing all Case Plan information and documentation submitted for assigned facilities for completion and accuracy.
+ Responsible for reviewing all information that is available in the approved Department of Correction software and scanning system, to ensure that each review complies with policy, procedure, and state law.
+ Responsible for completing the Case Plan review process, in the timeframe policy directs, unless issues arise that warrant further investigation and/or review by the Case Plan Review Panel. This is performed daily.
+ Responsible for contacting the assigned facility Unit Team with any concerns, discrepancies, questions, or requests for additional documentation if additional information or corrections are needed.
+ Responsible to assist with responding to field staff concerns, discrepancies, questions, and/or issues with additional documentation, as needed.
+ Responsible for completing all resubmissions for each offender who has been flagged as awaiting information from the facility.
+ Responsible for entering an offender’s information on Case Plan Review Panel Agenda if issues arise that warrant further investigation and/or a reversal decision has been requested.
+ Responsible for presenting concise and objective information during Unbiased Review Panel meetings.
+ Responsible for meeting with the Re-Entry Monitor, who is the Team Lead for the Case Plan Review Panel, when needed, regarding any questions/concerns/issues that arise on a case-by-case basis.
+ Responsible for establishing a good working relationship with staff on the incumbent Team and nurturing a positive and professional work environment.
+ Responsible for establishing a good working relationship with staff at assigned facilities to ensure that all available documentation is verified and considered when conducting reviews.
+ Responsible for acting as a resource person for assigned facilities when questions arise regarding the review process and duties of staff.
+ Responsible for responding to correspondence from offenders, family/friends of offenders, IDOC staff or other interested agencies or interested parties. This occurs on an ongoing basis.
+ Responsible for completing other duties as assigned by the Re-Entry Monitor who is the Team Lead, Director of Case Management or Executive Director of the Programs and Re-Entry Readiness. This occurs on an ongoing basis.

What You'll Need for Success:
You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:
+ High School Diploma or High School Equivalent (HSE).
+ Knowledge of source materials and references, including federal and state laws that impact correctional institutional programs.
+ Knowledge of Indiana Penal Code and Department of Correction policies and procedures applicable to area of responsibility.
+ Knowledge of correctional programming.
+ Above-average knowledge of the Case Plan Credit Time.
+ Above-average knowledge of Facility Case Management positions and duties.
+ Above-average knowledge of department forms, procedures, and management.
+ Above-average knowledge of approved department software.
+ Above average knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
+ Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
+ Ability to effectively speak when confronted by irate visitors and callers.
+ Ability to respond appropriately in emergency or crisis situations.
+ Ability to keep confidential information.
+ Ability to adhere to the Department’s dress code and grooming standards.
+ Ability to document and maintain records as it pertains to the American Correctional Association (ACA) standards.
+ Ability to complete on-the-job and Correctional Training Institute training.
+ Ability to abide by the Department’s Standard of Conduct and all behavior expectations.
+ Ability to work under emergency conditions.
+ Ability to maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, subordinates, and other staff within the unit, institution, and agency, as well as individuals in other agencies.

This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
