**Work Schedule:** 8 Hr (2:00:00 PM - 10:30:00 PM)

**Pay Range:** $16.48 - $25.96 per hour

Summary:
In addition to routing Transport Tech functions, the Transport Tech II is responsible for the distribution preventive and routing maintenance, and repair of complex Hospital Transport Services (HTS) equipment. Transport Tech II focuses on effective inventory of all HTS equipment as well as an updated maintenance scheduled for Wheelchairs and Stretchers. This includes Regular patient beds as well as Specialty Care Beds. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum two (2) years healthcare support services or related experience
Preferred Job Qualifications:
• Certification in equipment maintenance and repair
Physical Demands:
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs regularly
Competencies:
• Proficient and functional mechanical aptitude
• Basic computer skills
Responsibilities:
• Conducts and Maintains physical inventory of HTS equipment as well as Hospital Patient Beds
• Creates and maintains a Preventive Maintenance schedule for all equipment
• Performs routine maintenance and Repairs to HTS
• Maintains proper par levels of any parts needed to ensure repairs are performed timely
• Collaborates with the Patient Flow Coordinator to ensure equipment is available for use at all times
• Submits requisition for Parts and or additional labor needed to fix or adjust equipment
• Coordinates removal of equipment from property that is beyond repair, unsafe or non-compliant with hospital standards.
• Responsible for inspecting all HTS equipment and Patient beds prior transport to ensure they are safe to use.
• Completes requests for equipment within the established components by the Transport department.
• Works collaboratively with Medical Center Engineering(MCE), Nursing, and other departments to enhance equipment delivery/removal process
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment. This includes maintaining all equipment and storage space compliant with JCAHO regulations
