    **Work Schedule:** 8 Hr (7:00:00 AM - 3:00:00 PM)

    **Pay Range:** $28.00 - $41.00 per hour

    Summary:

    **Road Home Program:** The National Center of Excellence for Veterans and Their Families (RHP) is dedicated to assisting and supporting current service members (Active Duty, Reservists and National Guard), veterans, and their families, with effective mental health services. The Road Home Program specializes in the treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder utilizing a two-week Intensive Outpatient Program and other accelerated models for delivering evidence-based treatments. RHP also collaborates with local and national veteran and service member organizations.

     

    The clinician will assess and treat veterans and their family members in a multidisciplinary outpatient practice setting which includes the Intensive Outpatient Program. The clinician will work in collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, counselors and other members of Road Home Program (RHP)’s multidisciplinary team.     Required Qualifications:

    + Current Illinois licensure as a License Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

    + Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling or applied behavioral science required.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

    + Behave ethically and professionally, demonstrate excellent communication skills and be capable of working with diverse populations.

    + Ability to collaborate well with others, including social services and government agencies social service and government agencies.

    + Proficiency with MS Office required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + At least 2 years of post-license experience as a member of a mental health treatment team in an outpatient setting under licensed supervision.

    + Experience with evidence-based treatment.

    + Previous work with service members, veterans and their families is strongly preferred.

    + Experience with Electronic Health Records (Epic)

    + Strong active listening, critical thinking, judgment and decision-making skills required.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Provides professional mental health services with an emphasis on evidence-based treatment with the goal of maximizing personal or family functioning.

    2. Prepares intake summaries, treatment plans and case summaries while maintaining on-going confidential records.

    3. Develops, implements and evaluates treatment approaches for clients and affected family members, including individual, family, group or intensive therapeutic modalities.

    4. Accurately documents treatment and progress in the electronic health record (Epic) in a timely manner in accordance with state and other regulations and in keeping with the department’s policy.

    5. Confers and consults with multidisciplinary providers regarding client's progress and treatment; this may include conferring with attending physicians regarding hospitalized clients’ recommendations for treatment.

    6. Utilizes resources within the community that clients to meet the needs of the client's treatment goals. These community resources will offer options for referrals to external resources for the client and/or family members.

    7. Participates in development, implementation and evaluation of programs within the psychiatry department at Rush.

    8. Performs other duties as assigned.
