• Typist (Probationary)

    T his position exists in our Student Services Office, and is a straight 8 hours per day for 261 days per year. There are medical and dental insurance coverages available, sick hour pay, vacation pay, and holiday pay benefits .

    Job Qualifications

    + Civil Service non-competitive to competitive class position which requires the candidate to be Civil Service certified prior to appointment. There is no longer a test, but a Civil Service application must be filled out and attached to your online application file. Civil Service will review to make sure you are qualified for this position.

    + Fingerprinting for NYS Education Dept. is required.

    + One year of experience and training in the clerical and/or business field.

    + Graduate from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma.

    + Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, typing, organizational and clerical skills.

    + Must have ability to interact professionally with children and adults.

    + Alertness and a willingness to learn and prepare for assignments of progressively increasing difficulty are essential.
