    The Botanical Garden Attendant Guard enforces the rules and regulations of the Garden.

    Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

    + Attend, guard and patrol assigned areas.

    + Responsible for the protection of displays, buildings, equipment, facilities, and grounds in area of assignment.

    + Maintain order in the area of assignment and assist in the detection, ejection and/or apprehension of miscreants, undesirable and disorderly persons.

    + Maintain occupant safety as per NYC Certificate of Fitness for Public Assembly Safety Personnel (F-03).

    Qualifications:

    + Candidates must possess and maintain a valid New York State Driver’s License.

    + Candidates must possess and maintain a valid New York State Security Guard License from the Division of Licensing Services.

    + Must have a minimum of two years full time experience in security or related work.

    + In possession of a High School Diploma or G.E.D.

    + Candidates must possess and maintain a valid Indoor Place of Assembly F-03 Certificate of Fitness or be able to successfully receive the required Certificate of Fitness within the first 90 days of employment.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment:

    Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work in all types of weather.

    Baseline work schedules:

    + 12AM - 8AM, Friday to Tuesday with Wednesday and Thursday off

    + Must be able to work daytime, evenings and holidays.

     

    Salary: $44,071
