This is a role within the distribution center of Simon & Schuster, a 100-year-old company with offices around the world, that is also the only US owned book publishing house. For this role we are seeking a Sure Sort Inductor.

What you will be doing on a daily basis

+ Meet with supervisor at start of shift to receive committed work for the day.

+ Organize area and delegate required duties to the rest of the sure-sort staff (picking and packing)

+ Work with supervisors and send employees to other areas if not needed at sure-sort.

+ Delegate packers to clear lines picking lines.

+ Help organize totes by batch and set up for next shift.

+ Communicate with supervisors when missing totes/inventory so it can be expedited.

+ Work as a team with fellow expeditor.

+ Able to run sure-sort machine and expected to trouble-shoot BOT issues and clear jams.

+ Pack out the sure-sort wall when needed.

+ Communicate any unresolved machine issues to tech/management so the problem is resolved quickly.

Some requirements:

+ You must have careful attention to detail and strong communication skills.

+ Some analytical experience is preferable.

+ You must have the ability to stand for up to 8 hours/day

+ Knowledgeable in sure-sort/dyna-pro systems (Preferred).

Shift and Schedule:

+ Monday-Friday, 1:00PM - 9:00PM
