Job Title: Financial Analyst III

Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst will prepare financial and regulatory reporting. This role is critical in leading the annual regulatory reporting and audits. The position aims to enhance financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management. Additionally, the position requires research and application of accounting standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

+ Prepare and manage financial and regulatory reporting.

+ Lead annual regulatory reporting and audits.

+ Analyze financial results and monitor variances.

+ Identify financial trends and recommend actions to management.

+ Research and apply accounting standards and regulations.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, MIS, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent experience in a related field.

+ 5 years of experience within an accounting, finance, or closely related role.

+ Proficiency in Statutory Accounting Standards and NAIC Reporting.

+ Advanced proficiency in Excel, including Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUM, and IF Statements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in public accounting is preferred.

+ Strong attention to detail with the ability to carefully review and evaluate financial and non-financial datasets.

+ Ability to catch and troubleshoot errors and discrepancies.

+ Strong data management skills and ability to balance this work with accounting needs.

+ Prior experience with audit, insurance, or healthcare data is helpful, but not required.

+ Strong management skills and ability to balance multiple projects while adhering to strict deadlines.

Work Environment

The candidate must be willing to work onsite three days per week in the Minnetonka office, specifically on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Minnetonka, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $52.00/hr.
