Area of Focus:

This position is responsible for preparing samples and ensuring that product specifications meet job ticket/customer expectations by reviewing each sample for defects, consistency in color, and color approval.

How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:

\u2022 Inspects each sample that will be sent to the customer, sales, CSR, and file room to ensure all aspects of quality meet expectations.

\u2022 Verifies ticket/proof with printed samples to see if backup is required.

\u2022 Reads job ticket and sales order to identify special instructions.

\u2022 Verifies samples received meet job ticket requirements.

\u2022 Verifies product is correct to job ticket specifications.

\u2022 Compares samples to artwork, inspects samples, and measures and verifies finished product meets specifications. Compares product to copy target.

\u2022 Scans UPC code to make sure that it has a passing grade, and it matches the job ticket spec.

\u2022 Reads sales order for appropriate sample list to follow and locates the sample list name on the Customer Sample List.

\u2022 Where required, notifies appropriate management for 2nd approval on samples prior to shipping.

\u2022 Packages samples making sure to package and wrap to prevent damage in transit.

\u2022 Places file room samples in boxes and places in designated area.

\u2022 Checks samples for cosmetic defects and identifies suspect/nonconforming product.

\u2022 Promotes and supports WestRock\u2019s Quality System.

\u2022 Follows established policies, procedures, work instructions, safety, and environmental guidelines.

\u2022 Performs other job duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed:

\u2022 Experience working with quality control or printing processes preferred.

\u2022 Must have basic computer skills (e-mail, word processing, etc.).

\u2022 Must have the ability of paying close attention to detail.

\u2022 Must pass color vision test.

\u2022 Must pass color hue test.

\u2022 Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.

\u2022 Able to manage time effectively and independently and maintain good attendance.

\u2022 Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
