Job Title: Purchase/Procurement Agent- Atlanta Pay Grade: J Workplace: Hybrid- 1 day per week in office Travel: None Job Summary:
Under general supervision, provides professional level category support in a variety of procurement activities. Participates in on-going category and vendor performance management.
+ Approve Requisitions
+ Process requisitions into Purchase Orders
+ Interacts with Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities and other state government entities as appropriate or required.
+ Interacts with vendors in various stages of the procurement process.
+ Assists with developing and posts solicitations for the agency
+ Any other duties as assigned

Employment Requirements

FOR THIS TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT, STATE LAW REQUIRES A NATIONAL AND STATE BACKGROUND CHECK AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT.
Associate degree in accounting or business, or a directly related field from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of job-related experience in a procurement environment; or Technical diploma in accounting or business and three (3) years of job-related experience in a procurement environment; or two (2) years of experience at the lower level Procurement Agent 1 (FEP020) or position equivalent. Note: Some positions require Georgia Procurement Manual area-specific certification(s).
