Job Description
The Shipping Associate I ensures customer delight in a cross-functional support role within the shipping department. This role is expected to receive valves into the shipping area, pack, close and ship customer orders.
Duties and responsibilities
The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons
+ Receive valves from assembly accurately
+ Collect all material for Manifold Assembly
+ Verify material against BOM
+ Match MO’s for kit orders
+ Assemble boxes
+ Monitor the accuracy and timeliness of material being packed and shipped to our customers
+ Coordinate shipping documents
+ Ensure Product is properly packed and organized per written and verbal instructions for accurate, and safe delivery
+ Label shipments of products using marking tools
+ Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records
+ Measure, weigh, and count products and materials
+ Examine and inspect shipment, materials, and products to verify packing specifications are met
+ Prep orders for Packers
+ Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience
+ HS diploma or Equivalent
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
+ Strong attention to detail
+ Beginner computer skills
+ Coordinate workflow with other team members
+ Ability to operate material handling machinery such as pallet jacks, electric banders, and skid wrappers
+ Forklift certification preferred
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
+ Lift and move 50 pounds repetitively
+ Walk and stand for long periods of time
+ Push carts with heavy loads
Work Environment
+ Majority of the work time is spent in a manufacturing environment where temperatures are often warm or cool, depending upon the season, and noise level can be moderate to high
+ PPE required as determined by company safety standards: safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, safety shoes
Additional Information
Salary and Benefits:
The hourly range for the position is $17.00 -$19.00 /hour. The individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. The Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range during the interview process.
