    Job Title: SAP EWM Functional Architect

     

    About the Role

     

    We are seeking a highly experienced **SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Functional Architect** with deep expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing EWM solutions in complex supply chain environments. The ideal candidate will bring extensive hands-on experience, strong integration knowledge, and the ability to lead full‑cycle implementations and rollouts while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional business and technical teams.

    What You Need to Have to Be Considered

    + 15+ years of experience implementing and configuring SAP EWM as a Functional Architect.

    + Minimum of 2 full-cycle SAP EWM implementations led successfully.

    + At least 2 EWM rollout projects delivered end‑to‑end.

    + Served as EWM Architect in at least one complete EWM implementation, demonstrating strong leadership and solution design capability.

    + Strong knowledge of SAP ERP modules including MM and WMS.

    + Deep proficiency with SAP EWM including:

    + Decentralized EWM

    + Cloud-based Warehouse Management in S/4HANA

    + Hands-on experience with integrations:

    + EWM–TM (Transportation Management)

    + EWM–MM

    + EWM–QM (Quality Management)

    + Strong understanding of system interfaces, integration points, and industry best practices.

    + Expertise in AS/RS (Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems) integration.

    + Experience with carrier integrations (UPS, CHR, etc.).

    + Skilled in configuring complex warehouse structures and layouts.

    + Comprehensive knowledge of core EWM processes:

    + Inbound

    + Outbound

    + Replenishment

    + Physical Inventory

    + Experience configuring put away and stock removal strategies.

    + Proficiency with process-oriented and layout-oriented storage control.

    + Familiarity with Cross Docking and its EWM implementation.

    + Strong experience with RF Framework setup and RF screen customization for multiple device types.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven cross-functional collaboration experience.

    Work Model

    • Onsite to client office in Florida. Should be willing to travel to other warehouse locations.

    + Architect SAP EWM solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

    + Identify, analyze, and remediate system design weaknesses; drive re-engineering efforts.

    + Support major aspects of SAP EWM architecture, including UI, middleware, and integration points.

    + Collaborate with solution teams to ensure proper system and data integration.

    + Present executive-level communication on project scope, strategy, cost, and quality.

    + Act as an escalation point for solution design or troubleshooting.

    + Participate in the mentorship program and guide junior consultants.

    + Implement business processes and develop solutions for Supply Chain Execution using SAP EWM.

    + Configure SAP EWM, conduct testing, create documentation, and perform validation.

    + Support development teams with functional specifications and test scripts.

    + Lead planning and execution of EWM implementation and rollout projects.

    + Engage with customer stakeholders to ensure excellent experience and alignment.

    Salary and Other Compensation:

    The annual salary for this position is between $112,500- $132,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

     

    This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
