About the role

Our practice is seeking a highly qualified **Sr.Java FSE or Lead Java FSE Dev (Onsite** ) with experience in developing and building impactful, scalable, enterprise applications.

Our Developers have a passion for high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in **_Alpharetta_** **, GA.**

Key Responsibilities:

•Lead the design and implementation of scalable microservices architecture to enhance system performance and reliability.

•Oversee the development and deployment of RESTful web services to facilitate seamless communication between applications.

•Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

•Ensure the integration of Kafka for efficient data streaming and real-time processing within the application ecosystem.

•Utilize Oracle and PL/SQL for database management, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance.

•Implement Spring Boot and Spring Core frameworks to streamline application development and enhance modularity.

•Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.

•Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum user satisfaction.

•Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize system performance and user experience.

•Engage in regular meetings with stakeholders to align project goals and deliverables with business objectives.

•Monitor application performance and implement necessary optimizations to meet scalability requirements.

•Maintain comprehensive documentation of system architecture, processes, and configurations for future reference.

Required Qualifications:

•Demonstrate proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, Oracle, and PL/SQL for effective data management and processing.

•Possess strong expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST Web Services for robust application development.

•Exhibit deep understanding of Core Java for efficient coding and system integration.

•Showcase domain knowledge in Cards and Payments, and Asset and Wealth Management for targeted solution delivery.

•Have a proven track record of leading technical teams and delivering successful projects in a hybrid work model.

•Display excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

•Hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, with relevant certifications in Java and Microservices.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until February 13, 2026.

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 – $141,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
