    Position Overview

    Technical Project Manager – IT, Emerging Technology

     

    The Technical Project Manager – Emerging Technology plays a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of innovative IT initiatives that support the organization's digital transformation. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of emerging technology projects—from concept through deployment—ensuring alignment with business goals, technical feasibility, and user experience excellence.

     

    This individual will collaborate across IT, business units, and external partners to evaluate, pilot, and implement next-generation technologies such as AI, automation, IoT, and advanced analytics. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong execution skills, capable of navigating ambiguity, and leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Project Leadership & Execution

    + Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of emerging technology projects using agile and hybrid methodologies.

    + Define project scope, goals, success metrics, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders.

    + Manage project risks, dependencies, and change control processes to ensure timely and high-quality outcomes.

    + Technology Strategy & Innovation

    + Partner with IT leadership to identify and evaluate emerging technologies that align with business priorities.

    + Translate technical trends into actionable project opportunities and roadmaps.

    + Conduct feasibility assessments, proof-of-concepts, and pilot programs to validate new solutions.

    + Cross-Functional Collaboration

    + Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.

    + Facilitate clear communication across all levels of the organization, ensuring alignment and transparency.

    + Lead stakeholder meetings, status updates, and executive briefings.

    + Operational Excellence

    + Develop and maintain project documentation, including charters, schedules, budgets, and post-implementation reviews.

    + Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

    + Support change management and training efforts to ensure successful adoption of new technologies.

    Qualifications

    + 3+ years of experience in technical project management, preferably in IT or digital transformation environments.

    + Strong understanding of emerging technologies such as AI/ML, RPA, cloud platforms, and data analytics.

    + Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.

    + Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

    + Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project, ServiceNow) and agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to use data to inform decisions.

    + Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous learning.

    + Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
