    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer 2, for a leading provider of complex composites, assemblies and tooling in the aerospace industry.

     

    In this role, you will develop engineering estimates for new business opportunities, create tooling methodologies and industrialization plans, and design innovative manufacturing processes while solving complex production challenges. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in fiber-reinforced composite material processing, aerospace part manufacturing techniques, and composite material performance characteristics. Responsibilities include developing manufacturing methods and tooling specifications, preparing engineering BOMs, estimating labor hours, writing technical content for proposals, and managing projects from concept through execution. This position is on-site in Los Alamitos, CA.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    BA In Mechanical Engineering or Related Field

     

    3-5 years of experience in an aerosapce manufacturing environment

     

    Composite Materials experience (adhesive bonding, oven cure, compression molding, thermal cure and assembly)

     

    2D/3D modeling and CAD/CAM Machining Knowledge to be able to converse with the Machining division and relay information to clients properly

     

    Working directly with the shop floor and assembly

     

    Ability to read various schematics and blueprints

     

    Experience with process development planning, including deconstruction of all relevant engineering requirements - creating engineering bill or materials, developing manufacturing process flows, and identifying tooling solutions

     

    Able to be on-site in Los Alamitos, CA
