    Job Description

    An insurance company is looking for a System Analyst / Data Analyst to join their team to support a long term data transformation in the actuarial department. This team is overhauling the Group Financial Reporting processes for Employee Benefits consisting of moving from mainframe to manual reporting through automation. This person will need to be a technical resource, able to write code and have strong documentation skills. Strong proficiency with SaaS, Cobol, Databricks, and cloud (specifically Azure). Part of the role will be developing and maintaining a plan for tackling analysis efforts, provide status updates, and identify opportunities to accelerate the work. Must be comfortable documenting and problem solving systems, data, and processes understood by shareholders and technical peers alike. Must be comfortable working PST hours and be solution oriented when working through projects.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - 5+ years as a Systems or Data Analyst / Architect

     

    - SAS mainframe experience

     

    - Python / Databricks exp

     

    - Experience analyzing systems, data, and processes for improvements

     

    - Strong documentation experience, preferably in Jira - Strong preference to those who come from a Financial, Insurance / Employee Benefits reporting background
