Role Overview
We are seeking a Subsea Cable Engineer to oversee the operational performance of power feed systems and related subsea infrastructure within a dynamic, multi-tenant data center and international cable landing station environment.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure continuous service reliability for submarine cable systems and associated hardware, including SLTE and DWDM platforms.
Conduct routine monitoring and diagnostics to assess equipment health and performance.
Perform troubleshooting, component replacements, configuration adjustments, and system upgrades as needed.
Execute testing, measurement, and corrective actions to maintain optimal availability of all subsea and ancillary systems.
Support modifications and enhancements to existing infrastructure in alignment with operational standards.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant will have hands-on experience managing cable landing station operations and possess strong technical knowledge of electrical and networking principles in a 24/7 data center setting. Prior exposure to subsea cable systems and related technologies is highly desirable.

Skills and Requirements
Experience: 5+ years in subsea cable systems or related telecom/data center environments.
Technical Skills:
Proficient with optical network equipment, SLTEs, optical amplifiers, and troubleshooting tools (OSA, OTDR, COTDR, Byrd testers).
Hands-on experience with PFEs, repeaters, branching units, and DC power systems (including HVPFE operations).
Knowledge of structured cabling, critical electrical/mechanical systems, and HVAC in data centers.
Familiarity with monitoring systems (EPMS, BMS, SCADA, DCIM) and alarm threshold configuration.
Operational Expertise:
Preventive maintenance for PFE equipment.
Writing and maintaining MOPs, SOPs, RCAs, and process documentation.
CT management and replacements.
Tools & Software: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Safety & Compliance: Experience with site safety programs and initiatives. Experience with optical networking equipment and subsea cable testing tools (COTDR, OTDR); familiarity with ROADM and sWMU.
Hands-on knowledge of PFEs, branching units, and DC power systems.
NFPA 70E training and relevant safety certifications.
Accredited operations certification (e.g., Uptime Institute or similar).
Experience implementing and maintaining compliance programs (SOC 2, HIPAA, FINRA, FFIEC, FDIC).
Background in regulatory standards and certification processes.
