Job Description
Lead an installation team using effective project management and installation skills.
Perform advanced testing and troubleshooting for copper and fiber systems.
Evaluate installation applications and recommend solutions based on codes, standards, and best practices.
Implement project plans, scopes of work, retrofits, and system upgrades.
Plan 2–4 weeks ahead for materials, labor, tools, lifts, testing devices, and safety needs.
Review all project documents and drawings within one week of job start.
Complete Pre-Task Plans daily at shift start and Daily Reports at shift end.
Update As-Built documentation; submit changes via RFI/email to the Project Manager.
Document conversations with trade partners, GC, EC, and owners; communicate updates to Foreman/PM.
Follow company protocol in all job-related procedures, including employee documentation when applicable.
Ensure adherence to all safety requirements and promote safe work practices on-site.
Apply knowledge of industry-standard color codes and termination practices.
Execute tasks using LEAN Construction principles.
Maintain task tracker entries and labor-hour reporting daily.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Maintain a professional appearance per company policies.
Provide reliable transportation to and from job sites.
Comply with all department standards, policies, and procedures.
Clearly communicate the importance of safety and professionalism to team members.
Make decisions based on codes, standards, best practices, and project schedules.
Select appropriate tools and methodologies for specific tasks.
Travel may be required.
Read, understand, follow, and promote all company policies and procedures.
Follow direction from the Foreman and Project Manager.

Skills and Requirements
Must meet Technician requirements and pass internal Lead Technician assessment.
Ability to track and manage project materials.
Installer certification from one or more manufacturers preferred (Leviton, Berk-Tek, SYSTIMAX, Ortronics, Panduit, etc.).
Proficiency with:
Smartphone/tablet functionality
Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
SmartSheet
OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.
2–3 years of low-voltage installation experience in commercial construction.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Relevant certifications or licenses preferred.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Must pass a drug screen, background check, and I-9 verification.
