    Job Description

    An employer is seeking 2 EMS SCADA Support Analysts to join their Grid Management Services organization in the Austin, TX area. The SCADA Analysts will provide 24/7 production support for Energy Management System (EMS) and Market Management System (MMS) applications. They will execute software deployments and third-party patching in critical utility production environments, collaborate with control room operators to troubleshoot real-time system issues and maintain grid reliability. He or she must be able to perform database updates and maintenance activities to support ongoing system operations, implement and maintain NERC CIP compliance procedures and documentation, Monitor system performance and respond to alerts in real-time support environment and create/maintain technical documentation for system configurations and procedures. This role requires the ability to coordinate with development teams to deploy releases into production systems and can also be fully remote if living outside of the Austin, Tx area. The hourly rate ranges from $70 - $80/hr depending on experience and feedback from the client.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    5+ years of experience with Energy Management System (EMS) platforms and SCADA systems

     

    Real-time production support in mission-critical environments

     

    Experience with database administration and update procedures (Oracle)

     

    Strong knowledge of NERC CIP compliance requirements and utility industry standards

     

    Hands on programming experience (C/C++, Java, Python, Perl)

     

    Proven ability to work in 24/7 support rotation and respond to critical system alerts Vendor experience (GE, Siemens, OSI, etc.)
