Job Description
The Subcontractor Management is responsible for overseeing the cost, schedule, technical performance, and risk posture of major subcontracted scope within a defense/aerospace program. This position ensures the subcontractor delivers all hardware, services, and documentation in accordance with program requirements, EVMS standards, and contractual obligations. The PM/CAM acts as the primary interface between the subcontractor and internal engineering, operations, supply chain, finance, and customer stakeholders.
• Own and manage cost, schedule, and technical performance for assigned control accounts.
• Develop and maintain Control Account Plans (CAPs), Work Authorization Documents (WADs), BOEs, and time-phased budgets.
• Perform monthly variance analysis, root-cause assessments, and develop corrective action plans.
• Serve as the day-to-day lead for subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with technical, schedule, and cost requirements.
• Review subcontractor schedules, SOWs, BOEs, proposals, technical submittals, and CDRLs.
• Facilitate recurring subcontractor reviews focused on cost, schedule, quality, risk, and responsiveness.
• Provide clear, concise reporting for PMRs, internal reviews, and customer briefings.
• Drive accountability across subcontractor and internal teams to resolve issues quickly.

Skills and Requirements
• 5–10+ years of program management, CAM, or subcontract management experience in the aerospace/defense industry.
• Strong understanding of EVMS, cost/schedule management, variance analysis, and EAC/ETC development.
• Experience managing subcontractors in a DoD acquisition environment.
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS, SOWs, CDRLs, and contract change control processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
