Job Description Summary
Engine Dynamics builds analytical models of the full engine or rig to enable design assessment, calculation of unbalance and flight maneuver design loads, and to assist in vibration related problem solving and test data interpretation for tech maturation, new and fielded products. As an Engineer within Engine Dynamics, you interface with design, Systems, and the customer to work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

Roles and Responsibilities
As an Engine Dynamics Engineer, you will:
+ Execute, with guidance from senior engineering resources, the analysis, design, test, or integration required to define, and support assigned components, assemblies or systems that meet business standards and program / product requirements
+ Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers
+ Document and communicate results of technical data generated
+ Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives
+ Share engineering information and promote open dialogue
+ Prepare invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering an accredited college or university
+ This role requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. citizenship.
Desired Characteristics
+ Familiarity with vibration analysis and vibration testing
+ Familiarity with NASTRAN, LSDYNA or other finite element computer codes (modeling and dynamic analysis)
+ Familiarity with Matlab/Python
+ Interest in continuing to improve standard processes and improve best practices
+ Strong oral and written communication skills
+ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
+ Ability to influence others and lead small teams
+ Strong problem-solving skills
_This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
