ASPIRUS ST. LUKE'S HOSPITAL in Duluth, MN is seeking a PCS TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST to join our PATIENT SERVICE CENTER team!
Salary Range: $22.89 - $33.19 Hourly
Schedule/Hours: DAY ONLY, 8 hours
Weekend Requirement: Generally No Weekends
FTE: FULL TIME, 1.000000 FTE

Position Description
Under the direction of the Manager – Patient Service Center Shared Support, the PCS Training & Development Specialist supports the design, delivery, and evaluation of training programs for the Patient Service Center (PSC) and future integrated service lines under the Shared Support model.
The PCS Training & Development Specialist is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering training programs that support patient service operations across Aspirus entities that are supported by the Shared Support model. This position partners with operational and other leaders to ensure all staff are properly trained on scheduling systems, workflows, policies, and service standards.
The Specialist collaborates with leadership, quality assurance, and technology teams to identify training needs, create learning materials, and implement development initiatives that enhance staff performance and patient experience. The position also assists in continuous process improvement by evaluating training effectiveness, providing coaching, and ensuring consistency in service delivery.
This role partners closely with Human Resources, Organizational Learning & Development (OL&D) and other system education teams to align training programs with enterprise-wide learning strategies. The Specialist also leverages and manages HealthStream to assign, track, and report on required training modules, ensuring compliance and completion across support patient service teams.
The Specialist may travel periodically to Aspirus locations to conduct in-person training, provide on-site support, and promote standardization across patient service teams.
HOURS: Full Time 1.0 FTE, 80 Hours Biweekly
Experience/Qualifications
+ Associate’s degree in Education, Business, Communication, or Healthcare Administration required.
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred.
+ Minimum of two (2) years of experience in healthcare, contact center, or patient access required.
+ Experience in training, coaching, or quality assurance preferred.
+ Familiarity with Epic scheduling, telephony (Cisco), and WFM systems (Calabrio) preferred.
+ Demonstrated ability to present and facilitate learning effectively across in-person and virtual settings.
+ Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
+ Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with QA, WFM, and leadership.
+ Demonstrated initiative in learning new technologies and workflows.
+ Comfortable facilitating in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
