    Description

The Multi-Domain Solutions Division at Leidos is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Secret cleared **Systems Engineer** to support the Department of the Air Force (DAF) in advancing the Advanced Battle Management System’s (ABMS) Digital Infrastructure (DI) Network Manager program. This role offers the opportunity to lead technical efforts that contribute to the broader Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) initiative, enabling U.S. forces and allies to act faster and more effectively in complex operational environments.

At the core of this mission is our Systems Engineering team, which plays a pivotal role at the intersection of requirements definition, architecture and system design, integration, and validation across the ABMS DI-Network. This team ensures a cohesive system architecture that enables seamless integration of new capabilities into the network.

    Primary Responsibilities

+ Serve as a technical lead and advisor to government stakeholders, providing guidance on defining the technical scope for major and minor releases of the network. Focus on advancing the technical maturity of the DI-Network by ensuring alignment with program objectives, delivering capabilities that meet operational requirements, and documenting risks and opportunities along the way.

+ Support a System of Systems digital engineering approach through all phases of the Systems Engineering lifecycle, including requirement generation and decomposition, system architecture and design documentation, and oversight of system integration, test, and validation activities to ensure alignment with mission objectives.

+ Document the design, development, and integration of the DI-Network and its features within a Model Based Systems Engineering approach leveraging a SysML model within Cameo. Maintain robust configuration management of the system baseline.

+ Facilitate technical and programmatic information exchange with multiple government and contractor organizations through participation in Working Groups and IPTs, informal and formal technical interchanges, and formal reviews.

    Basic Qualifications

+ **Must possess a minimum of a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline and 8 years of systems engineering experience, ideally supporting enterprise-scale network infrastructure. Or Master’s degree with 6 years of systems engineering experience.

+ Hands-on experience with system modeling and requirements management, experience with Cameo is preferred.

+ Knowledge of networking engineering, network architecture, and network automation methodologies.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with customer representatives, domain experts, and other systems engineers in the development of complex DoD systems.

+ Demonstrated experience with Agile program execution and using agile tools (e.g. Jira and Confluence).

    Preferred Qualifications

+ Prior experience working on ABMS or JADC2 initiatives, or other US Air Force Customer programs.

+ Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud architectures.

+ Familiarity with enterprise-scale network infrastructure design and implementation.

+ Experience with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) and virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware).

+ Understanding of firewalls, enterprise-level security monitoring, network management tools, and WAN/LAN architecture.

    + Active TS/SCI clearance.

At Leidos, we don’t want someone who "fits the mold"—we want someone who melts it down and builds something better. This is a role for the restless, the over-caffeinated, the ones who ask, “what’s next?” before the dust settles on “what’s now.”

If you’re already scheming step 20 while everyone else is still debating step 2… good. You’ll fit right in.
