    Summary

    The position requires a highly motivated and experienced leader to support our continuously increasing share of the federal market. The Business Development Team’s Vision is to accelerate SSBU growth, further increase market share, and continuously improve strategies and performance. The Director of Operations Support assists strategic capture planning of the SSBU President and subsidiary executives. The **Director** will communicate with all subsidiary Executives, Operations Managers, Program Managers, and Project Managers frequently on overall Contractor performance including the status of critical contract and operational issues that are systemic across the region or specific to an installation. The Director will also assist with planning and initiatives associated with synchronizing operations across the business unit.

    Responsibilities

    What You'll Get To Do:

    + Supportsthe VP of Business Development and Operations and SSBU President in executing Budgetary and Business Development Strategy of the SSBU in accordance with SSBU Business Development Policy through continuous interfacing and coordination with subsidiary BD principals and executives.

    + Build strong relationships with key stakeholders specifically in the Huntsville, Alabama area while maintaining existing customer relationships to facilitate the retention of work and growth for the organization.

    + Act as a communication liaison between Customers and internal Executives, Operations Managers, and Program/Project Managers.

    + Lead research, qualification, capture, and prioritization of resources and efforts for opportunities that align with SSBU core capabilities. Focuses on opportunities that may potentially be procured through the SBA 8(a) Small Disadvantaged Business program. This includes aggressively supporting Government market research efforts and marketing the benefits of procuring through the SBA 8(a) program - including direct awards.

    + Maintain senior level oversight of the SSBU opportunity pipeline and ensures that opportunities support and are aligned with the SSBU Business Development strategy.

    + Support growth in emerging / developing capabilities by leveraging existing projects and customer base, through marketing campaigns, and through subject matter experts.

    + Develop and delivers Business Development presentations such as gate reviews, pipeline briefs, and bid/no-bid presentations to the VP of Business Development and Operations, SSBU President, subsidiary BD principals, and other Chenega Corporation stakeholders.

    + Assist in planning the SSBUs capture strategy to identify competitive advantages and secure contracts for an organization.

    + Develop capture strategies to evaluate customer needs, competitor positioning, and industry trends and effectively identify, pursue, and win business contracts.

    + Determine the feasibility of pursuing an opportunity based on factors such as budget, scope, competition, strategic value and customer requirements and objectives.

    Qualifications

    You'll Bring These Qualifications:

    + BA/BS degree in Criminal Justice or a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in law enforcement or security field.

    + Preferred candidate should have five to eight years managing guard operations.

    + Possess and maintain valid state driver’s license.

    _Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:_

    + Excellent communication, interpersonal and team building skills to engender rapport with military personnel, civilians, and other contracts at all levels of government.

    + Knowledge of national security program directives and standards is a must.

    + Knowledge of Microsoft applications and programs.

    + Excellent writing and speaking skills are essential.

    + Proven ability to successfully build and work within high performance teams in an entrepreneurial environment
