    About IPSD:

    Caterpillar’s **Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD)** designs, tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L engines that not only power Caterpillar machines, but also power over 5000 other applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives. Caterpillar’s company strategy includes sustainability as one of four focus areas and IPSD is engaged and actively preparing green energy solutions for the future.

    Job Summary:

    As the **Manufacturing Process Manager** , you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of a chemical and environmental systems production line, preparing schedules, resolving issues, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

     

    What You Will Do

    Sustainability & Cost Reduction Programs

    + Manage waste oil recycling program, wood recycling program and wastewater evaporator cost reduction program.

    Resource & Materials Management

    + Maintain optimal stock levels for critical process materials including chemical consumables (oil/fuel).

    + Forecast usage and coordinate procurement schedules.

    + Place orders and coordinate deliveries to avoid shortages or overstock.

    Process Quality & Compliance

    + Monitor key systems for operational stability and regulatory compliance.

    + Maintain documentation and safety standards.

    + Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure compliance with water treatment standards.

    + Recommend chemical treatment plans to maintain NPI part integrity and system stability.

    Vendor & Compliance Coordination

    + Communicate with suppliers for pricing, lead times, and technical support.

    + Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations for chemical storage and handling.

    + Maintain SDS documentation and proper labeling.

    Data & Reporting

    + Track oil, fuel, chemical usage trends and prepare monthly reports.

    + Assist in budgeting for chemical procurement.

    Leadership

    + Supervise and direct the daily activities of production lines worker(s), assign tasks, ensuring coordination between different teams, ensuring their safety and monitoring their performance.

    What You Will Have:

    **Data Gathering & Analysis:** Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes as it relates to industrial water treatment chemistry (Cooling towers, closed loops, boilers); ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.

    **Performance Management:** Knowledge of successful performance management techniques; ability to apply organization's performance management system, practices, and tools to developing and improving individual, team, and organizational performance.

    **Decision Making and Critical Thinking:** Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

    **Planning and Organizing:** Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.

    **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

    **Additional Information** :

    + This position is located in Seguin, TX requires a 5-day-a-week onsite schedule.

    Summary Pay Range:

    $89,210.00 - $133,810.00

     

    Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
