Our 12-month News Associates Program is a postgraduate opportunity designed to provide participants with exposure to a wide range of experiences, ongoing mentorship, and targeted career and professional development within the fast-paced world of NBC News.
This program will lead the way for you to apply for exciting internal roles and equip you with the knowledge and tools to thrive in today’s multimedia space.
Rotations may include, but are not limited to, Nightly News, The TODAY show, News NOW, the digital properties of NBC News, long form programming or various aspects of our newsgathering organization.
This program begins September 2026.

Hourly Rate: $27.00 per hour, overtime eligible at $40.50 per hour.
+ You have a bachelor’s degree, graduate degree or equivalent professional experience
+ Must be willing to work in New York beginning Fall 2026
+ Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
+ Journalism experience
+ Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Desired Characteristics:
+ At least 1 year of journalism experience (internships/course work/professional)
+ Commitment to a career in television news production
+ Excellent writing skills
+ Ability to work effectively in a high-intensity environment, often under tight deadline pressures.
+ Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
+ A desire to tell great stories
+ A willingness to collaborate with teammates
+ Leadership skills
+ Must be willing to work overtime, nights, holidays, and weekends, often with short notice
