Exciting Opportunity:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Database Developer to be a vital part of our innovative team. You will leverage SAFe Agile methodology, SQL Developer, Jira, GitLab, and your Security+ certification to support our production systems and ensure the optimal performance and security of our database environments.

Responsibilities:

+ **Collaborate and Innovate:** Work with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain robust database solutions.

+ **Agile Excellence:** Utilize SAFe Agile practices to deliver high-quality database features and enhancements.

+ **Security First:** Ensure the security and integrity of database systems through best practices and your Security+ certification.

+ **Continuous Improvement:** Contribute to the ongoing improvement of database performance and reliability.

+ **Mentorship:** Guide and mentor junior developers, sharing your expertise in Oracle database technologies.

What You’ll Do:

+ **Design and Develop:** Create and maintain complex Oracle database schemas and structures.

+ **Security Protocols:** Implement and manage database security protocols in compliance with Security+ standards.

+ **Performance Optimization:** Perform thorough database analysis to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and optimize queries.

+ **Scripting and Automation:** Utilize SQL Developer for database scripting, automation, and performance tuning.

+ **Version Control:** Manage database changes using GitLab/GitHub for version control and collaboration.

+ **Task Management:** Track and manage database-related tasks and projects in Jira.

+ **Health Checks:** Conduct regular database health checks and troubleshooting to ensure system stability.

+ **Documentation:** Maintain comprehensive database documentation.

+ **On-Call Support:** Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for production systems.

+ **Integration:** Collaborate with application developers to seamlessly integrate database solutions.

+ **Backup and Recovery:** Perform database backups, recoveries, and disaster recovery planning.

+ **Stay Updated:** Keep current with Oracle database updates, patches, and new features.

+ **Code Reviews:** Engage in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

+ **Standards and Guidelines:** Contribute to the development of database standards, guidelines, and best practices.

+ **Migration:** Assist in the migration of databases to new environments or platforms as needed.

Qualifications:

Required:

+ **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

+ **Experience:** Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Oracle Database Developer.

+ **Agile Methodology:** Proven experience with SAFe Agile methodology.

+ **Tools Proficiency:** Proficiency in SQL Developer, Jira, and GitLab.

+ **Certification:** Security+ certification or equivalent.

+ **Oracle Expertise:** In-depth knowledge of Oracle database administration and performance tuning.

+ **Security Practices:** Experience with database security practices and compliance.

+ **Problem-Solving:** Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

+ **Communication:** Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Desired:

+ **Advanced Degree:** Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

+ **Oracle Certification:** Certification in Oracle Database Administration (OCP) or equivalent.

+ **Cloud Experience:** Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS).

+ **DevOps Knowledge:** Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.

+ **CI/CD Experience:** Experience with automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$90,300-$189,600
