    Overview

     

    The position of Associate Product Marketing Specialist within the Product Management group of the Business Products division is a full-time position that supports multifunction printers for all workgroup, high-speed and production category products. This position will assist product managers with the go-to-market strategy and coordination of product lifecycle management in a fast paced, high technology environment. The Associate Product Marketing Specialist will will gain valuable knowledge by working closely with the key department personnel and managers, as well as work in cross-functional teams with other groups within the organization, all in an effort to help meet the sales goals the division and expand the Business.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop an understanding of the various stages of product life cycle management, including planning, development, launch, growth, maturity, and decline.

    + Work alongside product managers in launching new multifunction printers to the market, whereby gaining a full understanding of their use and product positioning.

    + Assist in the creation of, and in some cases lead the development of product specific collateral materials (i.e. brochures, data sheets, installation planning guides, customer expectation guides, sales presentations, competitive analysis, marketing bulletins, etc).

    + Help prepare webinar presentations, as well as participate in delivering them to Sharp internal groups, dealers and direct channel (SBS) teams.

    + Work on special projects in teams with other department personnel including product managers, senior product managers, associate product managers and interns under the direction of the Associate Director of Product Management.

    + Help prepare and manage channel price lists, website content and product feature updates for new and current products as required.

    + Learn to identify, compile and maintain competitive specification matrix for key product segments by researching online data and industry analyst infomation.

    + Analyze market data from key analysts and prepare summary reports with graphically displayed competitive price positioning for assigned product categotries.

    + Collaborate on team projects both within the group and also with other groups withing the company, as well as provide critical hands-on investigating of features and functions as needed.

    + Help review factory specifications and provide critical feedback to Sharp factory in Japan.

    + Provide on-site launch support at dealer locations for New product Introductions as required

    + Participate in remote and on-site field surveys to determine market requirements as needed.

    + Assist in the preparation, support and execution of sales meetings, dealer meetings, trade shows, road shows and other activities necessary to achieve the goals of the division.

    + The Associate Product Marketing Specialist will be guided by the Senior manager of Workgroup and High-speed products as well as other product managers within the group. However, the individual will be encouraged to also seek guidance within the group as needed.

    Qualifications

    + Seeking an entrylevel candidate with a strong desire to begin a career in product management, marketing, or sales. College degree preferred

    + Marketing and General Business majors strongly preferred

    + Applicant should have strong technical acumen good attention to detail.

    + Ability to learn and understand current business technologies and applications

    + Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must

    + Strong computing skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint

    Compensation for this position

     

    The compensation range for this role is $58,000-$65,000. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
