    Overview

    We are seeking an experienced AI & Technology Program Director to lead the strategy, development, and implementation of advanced artificial intelligence and technology initiatives across our healthcare organization. This role will drive innovation while ensuring solutions are ethical, compliant, scalable, and aligned with clinical, operational, and patient-care priorities.

     

    The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, healthcare domain knowledge, and strong program leadership, with a passion for using AI and emerging technologies to improve outcomes, efficiency, and equity in healthcare. This is a practical, hands-on role focused on driving transformational change.

    Responsibilities

    + Promote awareness and understanding of AI/Agentic AI, automation, data analytics, and emerging technologies across all levels of the organization.

    + Act as a storyteller and thought leader, inspiring teams with practical use cases and documented success stories.

    + Develop and deliver training, workshops, and internal campaigns to build AI literacy, excitement, and adoption.

    + Partner with existing IT and AI resources to ensure IT infrastructure can support AI workloads and to embed AI in existing systems (EPIC, ERP, etc.)

    + P artner with markets to identify high-impact opportunities for AI/technology application.

    + Work with the strategy team to understand how AI/technology can advance UnityPoint Health’s overall strategic plan.

    + Translate complex technical capabilities into business-friendly solutions and roadmaps.

    + Partner in co-leading the AI Governance Council to drive cross-functional oversight of AI initiatives, balancing innovation with compliance, ethical considerations, and patient/team member impact.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business or related field, required

     

    Master’s Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business or related field, preferred
